The Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival and Lecture Series is a three-day film festival organized by African Voices Magazine and Long Island University's Media Arts Dept., Brooklyn Campus. Established in 1997, Reel Sisters screens films directed, produced or written by women of color in the film industry. Reel Sisters offers film workshops, scholarships and cash awards. Dates: April 13-15, 2007.
