African American Women In Cinema is a non-profit organization whose mission is to support minority women filmmakers by providing resources in the film industry. Incorporated by the organization's President, Terra Renee, in 2000, the objective of AAWIC is to improve cultural understanding and overall social welfare through the promotion of diversity in all filmed content in both dramatic and documentary formats.

American Museum of the Moving Image

The American Museum of the Moving Image is dedicated to educating the public about the art, history, technique, and technology of film, television, and digital media and to examining their impact on culture and society. It achieves these goals by maintaining the nation's largest permanent collection of moving image artifacts and by offering exhibitions, film screenings, lectures, seminars, and other education programs.

Bronx Independent Film Festival

The Bronx Stage & Film Company is accepting short and feature film submissions for the 5th Bronx Independent Film Festival scheduled for June 29 – 30, 2007. We accept short and feature narrative, documentary, animation and experimental films. An urban theme or setting, particularly The Bronx or New York City, is desirable but not necessary for submission. Early submissions must be postmarked by April 30, 2007; final submission by May 15, 2007. Top film receives $1,000 cash prize.
